You are beautiful just the way you are.
You don’t have to have it all together.
Society is the one that is flawed, not you.
You matter.
Those five things are things I wish someone had told me when I was growing up. I wish I had known these truths before going down the road I did. I think I could have avoided a lot of pain and sadness.
So I want to tell you these things now. I want you to know that these are all true for you, no matter where you are at in your life. And I want you to repeat these to yourself each day because I want you to believe them.
You are good enough. You don’t need approval from anyone but yourself. Whatever you are doing now in this moment, is enough, is perfect, is right.
You don’t need to go searching for more and you don’t have to be any better than who you are now.
You are beautiful just the way you are. There’s nothing you have to do to be more beautiful. You don’t have to look like one of those models on TV or in the magazines, you don’t have to be thin or curvy or muscular. You don’t have to have perfect hair or skin or have a tan or be a certain height. No, all you have to do is be who you are right now in this moment.
You don’t have to have it all together.
It’s okay to not be okay.
You don’t have to know what you want to do all the time. You don’t have to be put together and know your plan. Things will come to you and you will figure it out one step at a time.
Society is the one that is flawed, not you. Society has a lot of flaws but we mistakenly see them as our own when we shouldn’t. You don’t have to fall prey to the ads and commercials that tell us we need this or that to make us beautiful.
You can choose on your own what is beautiful.
You don’t need someone defining such a unique quality for you. You don’t have to believe everything they say, and you shouldn’t because it’s just a bunch of lies based on making money.
You matter. You have a place on this earth that no one else could take up.
You deserve to take up that space and be all that you are.
You have something to offer this world that no one else has. You are the voice someone needs to hear, you are the caring hug that comforts someone in sadness. What you do matters, what you say matters, who you are matters. You are entitled to wonderful things.
I encourage you to print this out and hang it where you can see it every day. Use it as a reminder that you deserve each and every one of these things. You deserve to live a beautiful life, full of joy and love. Treat yourself today as if you believe all of these statements. And one day you truly will.
xoxo
